About
Cellstack is a climate-tech startup developing AI-driven battery management software for battery engineers and second-life battery operators. The platform helps assess the condition and safety of used EV batteries by analyzing state of health, predicting lifecycle performance, and detecting anomalies with high accuracy.
My role
As the founding CPO, I led the product and design strategy, establishing the brand, guiding early product development, and building investor confidence around a highly technical solution.
Problem
The key challenge was translating complex scientific knowledge into a clear and compelling product story - for both investors and early customers. Working with battery experts and scientists meant that technical ideas were often too abstract or complex for commercial stakeholders. At the same time, we needed to quickly build a user-friendly MVP that could demonstrate value, despite the product still being in early development.
Solution
We started with a clear short-term plan to align our communication, design, and product goals. I took charge of shaping our brand identity to make sure we stood out in the climate-tech space. We built a strong LinkedIn presence and web strategy to help with investor outreach and build trust.
To move fast and save costs, I designed and built our marketing website in Framer. This let us make quick updates without needing developers. The site clearly showed our mission, value, and product plans, helping us stand out in a competitive market.
SaaS/Dashboard
I led workshops with our team to define and prioritize features for the MVP dashboard. I helped turn technical talks into clear, useful features. This way, we created a first version that was both solid and easy for users to understand. It let us show a working platform early, before the full product was ready.
Outcome
Our clear design vision, strategic brand positioning, and agile product execution helped Cellstack gain early traction. We were accepted into the Technical University of Berlin’s startup program and secured €100,000 in funding from Norrsken Foundation, a leading Swedish non-profit that invests in climate tech. The project demonstrated how clear communication and thoughtful design can accelerate trust, unlock funding, and bring complex scientific innovation to market faster.
